Happy Hump Day -
Sometimes I wonder if apps have actually made life easier. Last night a friend of mine ordered some food from Uber Eats. Came to $80. Big order! A feast.
Long wait, order finally arrives. Yay! Driver drives off, we open the bag. Wrong order. Just bowls of soup!
She calls the driver while he's still in the neighborhood. He comes back, we give him the soup. He says he'll try to retrieve her order and will text her. He drives off. No word... She calls him, he says sorry, no
success.
She tries to get her money back. The Uber Eats bot (no human involved) wants a photo of the "wrong" order, the soup. No refund without photo. She doesn't have a photo, she gave that order back to the driver.
She argues with the bot as her eyes start to bulge.
Blood pressure rises. Stroke around the corner. Finally, after calls, emails, Xanax, shouts, words that would make you sorry and go to Confession, the charge is reversed. And somebody else ate her food.
Needless to say, she has lost her APPetite for soup.

If you're looking for data inputting jobs, this one pays $23/hr. (scroll down). Hiring nationwide, it looks like; no state
