Happy Thursday!
We're all about rebelling against the rat race, so it's interesting to see countries adopting "right to disconnect" laws. These block companies from contacting employees after
hours, protecting your personal time.
Australia is the latest in the trend. Belgium, Spain, Portugal and others are already on board. I'm not sure we'll see it soon here, though. Corporations in the US have much more political influence than in most other countries. But public-sector employees might get the protection. Just a guess. For the Australia
news, see this NY Times piece. For the wiki on the trend, click here.
On the WFH job front, if you're looking for something that
includes reimbursement for your home office (furniture, supplies, internet and cell phone) -- pay is $60k-$90k/yr. -- these customer service openings (scroll down) might suit. No college requirement or state hiring exclusions mentioned.
"I Got Hired!" Please join us in congratulating RRR job-finder Carol T., who got hired twice! Carol wrote us yesterday (excerpted),
"I was hired by Transcom to work on the Apple project in 2018. I worked there all through the pandemic and up until 2021 and retired. Got bored and started applying
again a couple months ago. I Worked for Concentrix for Quickbooks and it was
supposed to be
seasonal. Same day it ended I got an offer to work full-time.
I accepted it and love the company... Absolutely Love you guys!"
Thanks so much, Carol, and bravo on your successes! Love your positive energy! If you’ve got an I Got Hired! story you’d like to share, write us at [email protected]. If not yet, we hope you get good news soon!
