I understand that juggling motherhood and entrepreneurship can be challenging, so I want to be here to support you every step of the way.
In this Week's Newsletter:
- A. Tip of the Week: Starting small and setting realistic goals for your content and
email list journey.
- B. Featured Mompreneur: A success story of a mom who turned her passion into a thriving online business.
- C. Actionable Step: Begin brainstorming content ideas for your target audience.
- Using SMART goals for building your email list is a strategic approach to ensure your efforts are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound.
A. Let's start with "The Tip of the Week"
Here's how you can apply SMART goals to this next project:
Here’s a SMART
goal example for a Black-owned, women-led online book club community:
**Specific (S):
"I want to establish a Black-owned and women-led online book club community that
celebrates literature by and for Black women."
**Measurable (M):
"I aim to have 300 active members in the book club within the next six months."
**Achievable (A):
"Considering my time and resources, it's realistic to grow a book club to 300 members in six months by actively engaging with potential members online, leveraging social media platforms, and
collaborating with other Black women in the literary community."
**Relevant (R)
"Building this book club aligns with my passion for promoting literature by and for Black women, and it
empowers Black women in the literary world."
**Time-Bound (T)
"I will reach 300 active members in my Black-owned and women-led book club celebrating Black women's literature within the
next six months, starting from today."
With this SMART goal, the founder of the book club can develop a strategic plan that includes selecting an online platform, curating reading lists, creating engaging content, promoting the book club within the Black women's community thru a email newsletter, and regularly auditing/reviewing their progress toward the
goal.
