Now here's the email I promised you...
📌Hey Mompreneur Weekly Fam!
As we step into the first week of the year, let's focus on laying the groundwork for a successful first quarter of the year.
Especially as a solopreneur, planning ahead is key.
Take time to review your goals, assess your resources, and strategize how you'll navigate the challenges that may arise in 2024.
By setting a strong foundation now, you're
positioning yourself for a more productive and rewarding year..
1. Reflect on Last Quarter:
- Q: What worked well for you this past year in your business? what did not?
- Q: What would you do differently? ( changes that you want to make?) ex: produce more content in 2024
- Q: What external support did you have that worked well? ex: outsourcing tasks, getting support with video editing, booking a
strategy session with a trusted consultant. etc.
- Q: What do you want to be celebrating by the end of 2024? how do you want to feel? or say that you actually accomplished by Dec, 31st 2024
2. Set Clear and Specific Goals:
- Define your objectives for Q1 with clarity. Ensure your goals are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART). Break down larger goals into smaller, actionable tasks to make them more manageable.
- ex: a Business Goal, Life Goal (hobby, new
skillset/fun)
- Relationship Goal ( marriage, friendship, family, community )
- Spirtual/ Emotional Goal ( inner peace, deeper purpose that keeps you grounded and anchored in your faith, + deepening any spiritual beliefs or practices that you have or want to refine in 2024)
3. Assess Your Resources:
- Take inventory of your resources, including finances, time, and skills. Evaluate if any adjustments are needed to use your resources to reach your personal and professional goals. This might involve budgeting, time blocking, or "leveling up" in certain areas of your life.
4. Review and
Update Your Business Plan:
- Dust off your business plan and update it based on your reflections and new goals. Make sure your plan aligns with your current vision and objectives. This document serves as a roadmap, guiding your decisions throughout the quarter. ( Keep it as a Visual reminder of what your goals are for the new year )
5. Identify Potential Challenges:
- Anticipate obstacles that might arise during the year. Whether it's market changes, changes in your kids schedules tech issues, or personal constraints, having a "emergency plan" in place will help you navigate challenges (bounce back) with greater resilience. ( ex: phone a friend, hire a coach/strategist, read a
book or take a course on that topic )
6. Create a Weekly Action Plan:
- Break down your Q1 goals into weekly tasks. This allows you to have a clear roadmap for each week, ensuring that you make consistent progress toward your larger objectives. Schedule these tasks in your calendar to allocate dedicated time.
7. Establish a Routine:
- Design a daily and weekly routine that aligns with your energy levels and peak performance times. Do you work best in the mornings, a 2-3 mid day time block? or evenings after your children go to bed.
- As we both know Consistency is key, and a well-structured
routine can help you build momentum and maintain focus throughout the year.
8. Set Up Accountability Systems:
- Share your Quarter1 goals with a mentor, colleague, or friend who can provide support and hold you accountable. Regular check-ins or weekly progress reports to help ensure you stay on track
and maintain the discipline needed for success.
As you approach the New Year; remember that:
1. setting a strong foundation involves a combination of strategic planning, self-awareness, and adaptability.
2.Stay
committed to your goals, remain flexible in your approach, and
3. celebrate the small victories along the way.
