With the Slow
Nowhere on Earth is there endless harvest.
The weather is cooling, leaves have fallen, and clocks have shifted so that our evenings are filled with less light. It is officially that time of year when life slows down. Just like in nature where fields cycle between growth, harvest, and rest...so, too, should business. I welcome the slower pace and the need to reconnect with loved ones - I hope you can as well.
You have worked so hard this year to move the needle forward and I want to acknowledge that dedication with gratitude while also reminding everyone of the importance of mental breaks and planned time off. Please enjoy the next round of company holidays: Christmas Eve (December 22 observed), Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day with loved
ones.
Before celebrating responsibly, please take a moment to read our first Health Matters installment in support of Orbital Project Management’s Environmental Sustainability Governance (ESG): DUI Prevention Plan Your health and safety are of the utmost importance to me and your family. Plan ahead.
I also want to encourage everyone to read our blog post, A Look Back at Fire Safety, and take the necessary precautions to keep your family safe and informed in the event of a fire. While October is the official fire
safety and prevention month, now is the time when space heaters are employed, cars are started for warm-up time, and fireplaces are ignited. The danger of carbon monoxide poisoning is real and should be taken as seriously as the threat of an errant spark. There is great advice to help in planning and preparing for a fire emergency in this post.
In closing, I want to thank everyone for their continued commitment to training. Our safety efforts have permitted us to advance in prescreening platforms while vying for new opportunities. Leading programs and projects from a Safety First perspective differentiates us from the competition and assures clients that our promise to empower them through expert program management will be delivered.
Sincerely,
