Blessings on you from the Elliott family! Thank you for subscribing, and we hope you enjoy today’s newsletter. Yesterday we talked about hope. Today I wanted to talk about trust, and did you know that the SAME WORD is used in today's verse? To hope is cling, but that's what trust is, too! I thought that was really cool, and I hope it means
a lot to you, too. My goal is to bring a little bit of Scripture, a sprinkle of encouragement, and a dash of hope to your day. I love a good cup of coffee (brewed like this), but if some other drink is more your style, I'm sure that will work. The point is for you to take a break from crazy living, just long enough for a sip of joy.
Daily Bible Verse"You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you." (Isaiah 26:3, NKJV)
ba-tach—trust; a holding onto something or someone by clinging or confiding; grabbing hold of someone or
something that is secure or safe. Source
We’ve been growing bean seeds in ziplock bags on our window sill, part of a science experiment for our home school. I’ve loved watching those little guys grow every day. For a few
days, nothing at all happened. Then, almost like magic, they sprouted and took off. It seemed like we could see new things growing by the hour! Do you realize what a precious little seed you are planting in the life of your child? It often seems like nothing is happening, especially spiritually. We often think that all our efforts are for nothing. Read More
Because we believe that the Bible reveals all of history (past, present and future), it just makes sense to use the Bible as our primary history textbook. In fact, we believe that knowing God’s plan for mankind is essential for our children (in fact, for all people). As we study history and prophecy in Scripture with our children, and as we see how God is always faithful to His Word, our faith and trust in Him is confirmed. This is the best way to study history and prepare our children for the future. Learn More |

I have been making steady progress through the prophets this year, and today's thoughts come from my study of Isaiah 22. If
you have read this particular chapter, I bet you have noticed some interesting language surrounding Eliakim, son on Hilkiah. Continue Reading

- Teach the Torah because Yah's commands open your children's eyes to
truth.
- Teach the Torah because Yah was there when history and science happened.

What about my own obedience to Torah? In the beginning, when my husband was still opposed to keeping feast days, or not setting aside December 25th as a holy day, I turned to the book of Esther
for wisdom. Esther was in a mixed marriage. She was a Jew who hid her Jewish heritage, and her husband was Ahasuerus, the king of Persia, of course a Gentile. She did not make demands on him that we can see from the history. So we have a powerful picture of the one in authority determining the course of his household. Read More |
