Blessings on you from the Elliott family! Thank you for subscribing, and we hope you enjoy today’s newsletter. Today on wanted to focus on things that bring us delight. Re-reading these old posts makes me think and evaluate, too, because sometimes life gets busy and I can start to forget my priorities. My goal is to bring a little bit of Scripture, a sprinkle of encouragement, and a dash of hope to your day. I love a good cup of coffee (brewed like this), but if some other drink is more your style, I'm sure that will work. The point is for you to take a break from crazy living, just long enough for a sip of joy.
Daily Bible Verse"I delight to do your will, O my God; Yes, your Torah is
within my heart." (Psalm 40:8, NKJV)
cha-fetz—to desire something out of pleasure; to take a high degree of gratification and satisfaction from
something; to hide a treasure. Source
I am reminded of an online acquaintance of mine, named Pam, who lives in southern California. She and her husband have ten children. Several years ago, they lost everything
they own in the fires that swept through San Diego. Her family had about two hours of warning time in which to pack what they could and flee the area. One of the hardest parts for her was losing baby pictures of some of her children. As she cheerfully reminded me, though, catastrophes like these help us focus on the things that really count in life. When we die, life is not over!
God has an eternity of purposes for us to fulfill, but this life is a test, a chance to commit ourselves to Him. Read More
Jennifer writes, “…Biblical Home Education was really a delight for me to read. Like any other homeschooling mother, Anne Elliott is in the trenches herself. As the mother of seven she has the same questions the rest of us do—how do I teach with toddlers underfoot? How can I keep my homeschool organized? Which methods are the best? And above all—how do I teach in a way that not only imbues my children with a deep understanding of the Word of God, but how do I use teaching methods that draw directly from the Word and
that are influenced by God’s philosophy of teaching (and not that of a homeschooling ‘expert’)." Learn More |
50+ Ideas for Taking Care of Mom!By Cindy Rushton, March 6, 2009, AnneElliott.com
My online friend, Cindy Rushton, has been writing for homeschooling moms for more years than I've even been a mom. She really
understands what it's like. She wrote this post when I was very new to learning about God's Torah. I left it just as it was then... except I posted links to kosher gummy worms instead of unclean ones. (wink!) Her ideas are timeless. Read Now

I read through my entire Bible for the very first time in about 90 days in 2006. I was so hungry to know what it said and what it contained — and if it actually applied to me!I fell in love, and
now I read my Bible daily, using a plan that gets me through the entire book once every calendar year. You might have heard my story before, but in case you haven’t, I’ll share a little bit. Read
