This email makes your coffee taste better when your images are turned on. :-) |
Blessings on you from the Elliott family! Thank you for subscribing, and we hope you enjoy today’s newsletter. This will be the only email I send out this week. We will be out of town all week, recording 5 sessions for Shabbat Night Live with Michael
Rood and Scott Laird. I'll tell you all about it when we get home, but please be praying for us this week. I'll try to post pictures each day on my social media pages. My goal is to bring a little
bit of Scripture, a sprinkle of encouragement, and a dash of hope to your day. I love a good cup of coffee (brewed like this),
but if some other drink is more your style, I'm sure that will work. The point is for you to take a break from crazy living, just long enough for a sip of joy.
For the Rest of This Week:

Daily Bible Verse"Pray also for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel." (Ephesians 6:19, NKJV)
ya-dah—to make known; to give others an eye as a window into the mystery of the gospel, to experience it
through intimate knowledge and comprehension. Source
The Grace That Is for YouBy Anne Elliott, February 23, 2014, AnneElliott.com
Let’s define the word grace, or at least how it’s used in Scripture. Grace
does not mean that we can do whatever we want. “Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means!” (Romans 6:1). Peter tells us that the prophets spoke of the grace that was coming to all the world, and he urges us to set our hope fully on that grace. So it is urgent that we know what this grace is! Read More
Understand your Bible better while deepening your relationship with your Heavenly Abba (Father) and growing in love for His people Israel. This simple, easy-to-use workbook uses Psalm 119 to teach the Hebrew Alephbeit to children while also teaching modern Hebrew vocabulary. Straightforward pronunciation and usage tips are included, as well as
plenty of review so that sounds and words won’t be forgotten. Students will be given the opportunity to use their creativity with each lesson, helping to lock in the meaning and sounds of each Hebrew letter. This book was written for children, but the parents who tested it were unanimous that it works great for adults, too! Learn Hebrew Today |
We’re deep into the history of Rome here in our homeschool, currently studying the ceasars before Nero, during the spread of the
gospel and the lives of the apostles. It’s really fascinating stuff! We recently studied about some of the temples constructed for their gods, such as the Pantheon in Rome. As I’ve been pondering more this week about some questionable homeschooling goals, I’ve been thinking a lot about that Pantheon. You see, pantheism is the belief that god
is in all things, that all things are god, and that god is even in me. Read More
Why do we study grammar? How can we learn to communicate God’s truth better? One reason we learn grammar is to share the good news of our Messiah with the world. In addition, we need to express ourselves with manners. In other words, we speak and write with correct grammar so that others won’t be distracted by our display of ignorance. The messenger
gets out of the way, so that people can hear the message. (See Romans 10:14-15.) Foundations of Grammar is designed for homeschooling families, using the Bible as the primary text and presenting principles of English grammar in an easy-to-understand format that will help students learn to write and speak in a clear, concise manner, to think logically, and to understand language structure.

For today, I decided to copy a post I originally wrote over at my website, Who Is Israel. It’s one of the posts I refer back to most, because it takes me back to my Bible, using various word
pictures to tell me about Israel. Just as Yeshua always taught with stories and parables, and just as my own children learn best with stories, I think the reason God describes His chosen people Israel with word pictures is because we just understand things better that way. I can picture sheep, and buildings, and royalty, and olive trees, and so on. I guess I’m just a visual person. Read More |
