Blessings on you from the Elliott family! Thank you for subscribing, and we hope you enjoy today’s newsletter. We are home from North Carolina. We arrived home just as the sun was setting for Sabbath, so I haven't fully finished unpacking yet. I'm looking forward to the week ahead. My goal is to bring a little bit of Scripture, a sprinkle of encouragement, and a dash of hope to your day. I love a good cup of coffee (brewed like this), but if some other drink is more your style, I'm sure that will work. The point is for you to take a break from crazy living, just long enough for a sip of joy.
Daily Bible Verse"Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it." (Psalm 34:14, KJV)

Are you longing for blessing on your life? I was reading today in Genesis 35 and 36, and I saw a distinct pattern: First we put away the foreign gods from among us, purifying our lives from sin and any uncleanness, and then the Father gives us a new name and covenant promises. Continue Reading

There is so very much evil spoken of in the Bible, and one blog post could never cover it all. Sins run rampant and humanity has cooked up near countless recipes to sin against our Creator. That
being said, there are types of evil, and types of sins, and those types come with their own respective consequences, although all lead to death in the end. So while there are far too many evils to go over, I do want to talk about a specific kind of evil that is directly linked to part one of this series. Read More |
