Blessings on you from the Elliott family! Thank you for subscribing, and we hope you enjoy today’s newsletter. Today's posts are all about hobbies, activities we cherish and look forward to because they matter to us and refresh our hearts. They reflect our deepest values and priorities. Sometimes we get too busy for hobbies, so
I hope you'll take a few minutes today to do the important and not just the urgent. My goal is to bring a little bit of Scripture, a sprinkle of encouragement, and a dash of hope to your day. I love a good cup of coffee (brewed like this), but if some other drink is more your style, I'm sure that will work. The point is for you to take a break from crazy living, just long enough for a sip of joy.
Daily Bible Verse“Yes, He loves the people. All His saints are in Your hand. They sat down at your feet. Each receives Your
words.” (Deuteronomy 33:3, WEB)
tach'beev - a hobby; something cherished or loved; something held close. Yah loves His people. He cherishes them and holds them close. He would rather spend time with them than anything else. Source

Eager HandsBy Anne Elliott, AnneElliott.com It seems to me that the Proverbs 31 woman was an amazing seamstress. She sought out wool and flax, the basic materials from which fabric is made, and weaved them into clothes for her family and for others. I don’t think this
means that we all have to be seamstresses or weavers in order to be biblical women. Rather, I think the picture emerging in this chapter is that 1. We need to do our work willingly, eagerly, and joyfully. 2. We need to do an excellent job at everything we do. Continue Reading.
Postage Stamp QuiltBy Christine Miller, ALittlePerspective.com I had so much fun at night hand quilting the baby blanket recently finished. I miss it, so I am starting a new quilt. I counted out that I have completed 18 quilts in the past 40 years, and never kept a single one. They were all given away. So this new one will be
to keep. My favorite quilts are scrap quilts. I decided the new quilt will be a postage stamp quilt. Postage stamp, because all the pieces are little, from scraps, and the same size. It took a few weeks to sort scraps, cut them to size, and get them stored in ziplocs for sewing. Continue reading.

DIY Entertainment Center Refurbished into a DresserBy Kraig Elliott, TorahHome.com As I begin writing this post, I am reminded of the circumstances behind this project I am going to share. We were planning on traveling full-time as a family around the country. We were going to live in a bus and seek to meet people, share Yeshua and Torah, and grow our homeschooling business. Well, YHVH had other plans. We ended up only traveling to two locations before God closed that project and opened another… starting a congregation in central Michigan. Needless to say, we had little furnishings for setting up a house. I set out on the task of finding, re-purposing, or building the furniture and decor for our home. This
project was one of the first and cost about $35 to make. Read more. |
