Blessings on you from the Elliott family! Thank you for subscribing, and we hope you enjoy today’s newsletter. Today's newsletter is all about cleaning. We have company coming, so cleaning was on my mind. :-) My
goal is to bring a little bit of Scripture, a sprinkle of encouragement, and a dash of hope to your day. I love a good cup of coffee (brewed like this), but
if some other drink is more your style, I'm sure that will work. The point is for you to take a break from crazy living, just long enough for a sip of joy.
Daily Bible Verse“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit
within me.” (Psalm 51:10, NKJV)
ta-hor - Clean; someone or something free of impurities and not mixed with any other matter. Source

How to Be CleanBy Anne Elliott, June 8, 2012, AnneElliott.com Last week our family went camping — yup, in tents! We were settled in a nice Minnesota state park, so don’t feel too sorry for us. We had bathrooms and showers and lovely walking trails. But brrr… this IS Minnesota, so it was cold! So as the kids played in the dirt, and as we all hiked, we got a little filthy dirty. (And a tad stinky.) I tried to take cold showers, but oh, it took a lot of teeth gritting and bravery to force myself to do it. And when nine people live in tents for a week, things get a little disheveled. It’s just life! So teeth chattering or not, each morning we had to force ourselves to wash the
dishes in the cold water and then make our beds and tidy things up a bit. Finally, we’d be ready to head to the trails, where the sun was intense and would warm us up a bit. Cleaning up isn’t always easy. It isn’t convenient. It isn’t at the top of our list for fun and recreation. But being clean is necessary. It keeps us
healthy, and it makes us liveable to others around us. Continue Reading

There Is a Fly in My CoffeeBy Kraig Elliott, July 4, 2014, ElliottExpedition.com I love coffee. Many of you may already know this. I think of making coffee as an art form. I am endlessly in pursuit of the perfect cup of coffee. I drink it pretty much every day. Usually I have 2-3 cups of the delicious elixir but sometimes more depending on the circumstances. Could this have been the drink of choice for Adam and
Eve? I know, some of you would probably disagree…but you’re all wrong! <wink> A few mornings ago I have my coffee sitting there on the ground while eating breakfast. I am sipping its deliciousness and savoring a beautiful morning. I go to pick it up when it is about half gone and putting it up to my mouth see a faint darkness clinging to the wall of my coffee cup. I bring my cup down from my lips to get
a better look only to discover to my dread and fear…a bug in my coffee. A dead bug in my COFFEE! Read More |
Thank you for taking time to sip coffee with me. I agree that drinking coffee is more enjoyable the cleaning the bathroom. Nevertheless, I hope
your day is tov—good and accomplishing what the Creator designed you for. Everything your hand finds to do, do it with all your might and for the glory of Yah! Shalom, ~Anne Elliott P.S. Can you help by sharing this newsletter with a friend? Here's a link. |
