This email makes your coffee taste better when your images are turned on. :-) |
Blessings on you from the Elliott family! Thank you for subscribing, and we hope you enjoy today’s newsletter. The service provider (Aweber) who sends these emails out each day was attacked with a DDOS attack yesterday. Those are a nightmare for any business! It didn't affect me much, but I couldn't log in to get this email ready until late last night. It definitely got me thinking about attacks and storms and problems, and it made me so thankful for the protection and care of my mighty God! My goal is to bring a little bit of Scripture, a sprinkle of encouragement, and a dash of hope to your day. I love a good cup of coffee (brewed
like this), but if some other drink is more your style, I'm sure that will work. The point is for you to take a break from crazy living, just long enough for a sip of joy.
Daily Bible Verse“Be exalted, Yehovah, in Your own strength! We will sing and praise Your
power.” (Psalm 21:13, NKJV)
g'voo-rah - Power, bravery; an act of defending one's property, convictions, or beliefs; control through
physical strength. I will sing about Yah's power and bravery in defending me, His possession. Source

Storm WarningsBy Anne Elliott, October 26, 2018, AnneElliott.com While I was sick over the past year, I noticed that low-pressure weather systems would cause my head to pound and my joints to ache. I figured it was just that I’m getting older, but the teacher in me wanted to discover the science behind this phenomenon. It seems that when the pressure falls (and our cells experience less pressure to hold in their fluids), the fluid in our bodies starts to “leak” a bit into areas surrounding each cell. This extra fluid presses against nerves and other organs, and it causes us to ache just a bit. The barometric pressure is falling today, in fact, and we have rain predicted for later this evening.
The cat acts a little funny today, as if she senses something is coming. We’re told that fish like to bite in a time of low pressure, right before a storm. Bread also seems to rise better at these times, and since today is the day before Sabbath and I have bread rising, this is a good thing. Continue Reading
Walk ... WITH HIMGuest Post by E and Marco, January 11, 2023 I watched this video clip for the first time a
couple of days ago. Having had to learn (still learning) what it means to 'walk alone,' at times, along our journey of Faith, the speech initially resonated with me deeply. The longer I listened, however, the more wrong-- and even dangerous-- the message proved to be! Oh, and how stealthily and cleverly the call
to 'independence-- even from Man's Creator'-- is packaged in the passion of the orator's voice and the stirring of the music! I almost missed it! Until it just got overwhelming and unbearable. And as I imagined all the people who would eat this kind of motivation or encouragement up ... I was like, "No! This
is the wrong message! 'UNLESS YaH builds the house, its builders labor in vain; UNLESS YaH protects the city, its watchmen stand guard in vain.' (Psa 127) This 'Walk Alone' gig is a lie! A beautifully delivered, inspiring lie! NOBODY fall for this!" Continue Reading

Keeping Your WordPress Site SecureBy Anne Elliott, e9designs.com One of the things that is scary about having a WordPress site is that since so many people use WordPress, hackers tend to target it. On the other hand, one of the best things about having a WordPress site is that so many people have a vested interest in keeping it secure. Recently, a
major security threat was launched against over 90,000 vulnerable WordPress sites, according to one expert. Matt Mullenweg, the founder of WordPress, explained the threat in a recent blogpost. Hosting companies such as Hostgator worked tirelessly to reduce the threat to their clients. What can a WordPress site owner do to make sure his website or blog is secure? The technical details can be overwhelming, but it
really comes down to some common-sense steps. Read More |
