Blessings on you from the Elliott family! Thank you for subscribing, and we hope you enjoy today’s newsletter. Good morning and happy Preparation Day! Some weeks don't go according to plan, and several in our family (including me!) have been sick all week. I am feeling much better today, and I'm very thankful. As I've been sick, I had some time to read, and I've been concentrating on an astronomy book, written by a strong Christian with a deep love for Scripture. I am again reminded of the importance of pondering what our Creator has done and how much He cares about us. My goal is to bring a little bit of Scripture, a sprinkle of encouragement, and a dash of hope to your day. I love a good cup of coffee (brewed like this), but if some other drink is more your style, I'm sure that will work. The point is for you to take a break from crazy living, just long enough for a sip of joy.

Summertime is a great time to send your kids outside to learn more about God’s creation. Charlotte Mason has made nature study a popular thing, and I agree. (My only disagreement is that we Bible believers should call them “Creation Walks” rather than “Nature Walks,” since we want to use every opportunity to remind our children that YHVH created the world.) Foundations of Torah High School Journal might have been written for high-school students, but adults of all ages have fallen in love with it, as they journal their way through the annual Torah-reading schedule. Each week’s journal pages include a summary of the Torah portion and haftarah, study questions, a space for prayer requests, a memory
verse, and application questions to help you put into practice what you have read in Scripture. Learn More |
I have naively believed for far too long that if a person regularly attends church, sings songs about how God created the world, mentions creation in prayers or liturgy, or homeschools her
children, that she must therefore be a creationist. Read More |
