Blessings on you from the Elliott family! Thank you for subscribing, and we hope you enjoy today’s newsletter. Good morning and happy Thursday! The weather is getting beautiful here in Michigan, so my thoughts are going outside, where I love to sit under the trees, or around the fire pit, enjoying friends and family. We have lots of ideas
today. My goal is to bring a little bit of Scripture, a sprinkle of encouragement, and a dash of hope to your day. I love a good cup of coffee (brewed like this), but if some other drink is more your style, I'm sure that will work. The point is for you to take a break from crazy living, just long enough for a sip of joy.

I have always enjoyed taking walks with my kids and teaching them the names of the flowers. Nature study is an integral part of many homeschools. We call it science. It can be as simple as
taking walks outside with our kids and talking about what we see. It can be as complex as keeping nature journals and drawing pictures and taking notes of what we observe. Recently, I realized that nature study can be very beneficial for moms (and dads, too.) As an adult, I may not be concerned with the botanical name, or how many petals the flower has, but nature has much to teach me. Read More
