Blessings on you from the Elliott family! Thank you for subscribing, and we hope you enjoy today’s newsletter. It's Prep Day! Time to get ready for Sabbath. But after you have some food for tomorrow in the crockpot and a plan for dinner tonight, I hope you'll enjoy the Bible studies in this newsletter. My goal is to bring a little bit of Scripture, a sprinkle of encouragement, and a dash of hope to your day. I love a good cup of coffee (brewed like this), but if some other drink is more your style, I'm sure that will work. The point is for you to take a break from crazy living, just long enough for a sip of joy.
Daily Bible Verse"Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the
scornful." (Psalm 1:1, NKJV)

were the upright and firm ones making decisions and giving advice. Source
Today I’m going to start a study in Psalm 1, since it’s my favorite one. I’m planning to take this Psalm one verse at a time, so hopefully these Bible studies won’t be as
long that way. Since we’re going slow, you’ll have time to memorize the Psalm if you do one verse a week. I always recommend writing out the verse on a 3″x5″ card or small slip of paper and hanging it over your kitchen sink. In no time at all, you’ll know it by heart! Read More

My own mind has been thinking some deep things the past few days. I’ve actually shed some tears over loved ones who are lost. I’ve been asking myself, what causes one person to break free of the
cycle and curse of sin, while another doesn’t? The Spirit of God breathes life into us. Our dry bones come alive. There can be no other answer! But after we come alive, He has to put sinews on us and bring flesh upon us, cover us with skin and put breath in us, so we can live. Read More
What should we teach our children before they turn five? What skills do preschool children need to master so that learning will be enjoyable and effective when they begin their formal schooling? If homeschooling, how can we ensure that we will be successful teaching our own children? (How can we even define “success”?) Find practical answers as we
discuss order, respect, attention, and parental example – the four foundations upon which a successful education is built. Learn More |
If you’re anything like me, you had this question: “In a messed up world like ours is, and with so much happening so quickly, how can we only think about good reports? What if we really need to
watch the news sometimes, to know what’s going on? A good example would be Biden’s and OSHA’s recent vaccine mandates. Or what about all the shortages in the world? I can’t bury my head in the sand! We need to prepare for what’s coming!” Read
