Blessings on you from the Elliott family! Thank you for subscribing, and we hope you enjoy today’s newsletter. Good morning! Snow is covering the ground here in Michigan this morning, but I can see tiny little buds on the tree out my window. Spring is coming, and the plants are all starting to wake up! Today let's talk about how to
encourage new life in our own hearts as well. My goal is to bring a little bit of Scripture, a sprinkle of encouragement, and a dash of hope to your day. I love a good cup of coffee (brewed like this), but if some other drink is more your style, I'm sure that will work. The point is for you to take a break from crazy living, just long enough for a sip of
joy.

I keep my sermon notes in file folders, one folder for each book of the Bible, and in the folder for Psalms, I found notes on Psalm 1, preached by my pastor about six years ago.
In this sermon, he told stories of courageous men who did NOT stand in the way of sinners. He encouraged us to find books about these people and read more about them. These faithful men refused to follow the way of the crowd and chose instead to obey God, no matter what the consequences would be! Read More

What Is the Law of MosesBy Kraig and Anne Elliott, January 26, 2015, WhoIsIsrael.com
As we have seen, almost universally the Torah refers to the law of Moses, written down in the Bible’s books of Genesis, Exodus,
Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. It is sometimes called the “Pentateuch,” which is a Greek word meaning “five” (penta) and “scrolls” (teuchos). Tradition tells us that the first five books of the Bible were written down by Moses. However, does this mean that Moses was the inventor and originator of all the things written in these books, or was
he merely the “scribe,” so to speak, or the secretary, who “took dictation” of the words of these books, all of which were spoken from the mouth of God Himself? Whose law is it really? Is it the “law
of Moses,” or is it the law of God, written down by Moses His servant? Let’s see what Scripture says. Continue Reading
