Blessings on you from the Elliott family! Thank you for subscribing, and we hope you enjoy today’s newsletter. Good morning and happy Tuesday to you! I've got some gentle tips for mothers today, and I hope it will bless you. Our kids tend to grow up to be just like us, and that can be awesome... or terrifying! Let's see what help the Bible
gives. My goal is to bring a little bit of Scripture, a sprinkle of encouragement, and a dash of hope to your day. I love a good cup of coffee (brewed like this), but if some other drink is more your style, I'm sure that will work. The point is for you to take a break from crazy living, just long enough for a sip of joy.
Daily Bible Verse"As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you; you shall be comforted in Jerusalem." (Isaiah 66:13)
nacham—to comfort; to console in time of trouble or worry; to give solace in time of difficulty or sorrow.

What makes a home school different from a public school? Well, if you’re a follower of YHVH, then your curriculum is radically different. It starts with radically different goals. For instance, our goal is to “be conformed to the image of His Son” (Romans 8:29). Public school, on the other hand, doesn’t even want to retain God in its knowledge at all (Romans 1:28). Does Scripture provide any guidance on how to make children into the image of God, rather then the image of corruptible man? You betcha! 🙂 Read More

I would like to recommend an excellent parenting resource, available to be read for free online. It’s a little book called The Mother at Home, by John S. C. Abbott. It’s an old book, published in 1833, now available on the Internet Archive for free. Here’s a little excerpt...

This post was originally written when my children were aged 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 3, and 1. I had received a catalog in the mail that week from the Container Store. I love anything that helps me get better organized, but a picture really jumped out at me. We’d been
organizing and decluttering anyway, in preparation for Passover. I tore the page from the catalog and hung it up on the fridge. I would stare and stare at it. I even took it into the bathroom with me one morning, with a piece of paper to write down any ideas that might come to me in the shower. 🙂 Read More |
