Blessings on you from the Elliott family! Thank you for subscribing, and we hope you enjoy today’s newsletter. Good morning! I thought it would be fun to go back into the blog archives and share what homeschooling looked like at our house, about 12 years ago. This was before we had written much curriculum or started Homeschooling Torah. We
were much newer to studying the Torah, but we still wanted to make the Bible a huge focus of our days. If you're not a homeschooler, I hope you'll enjoy all the family stories and cute pictures. My goal is to bring a little bit of Scripture, a sprinkle of encouragement, and a dash of hope to your day. I love a good cup of
coffee (brewed like this), but if some other drink is more your style, I'm sure that will work. The point is for you to take a
break from crazy living, just long enough for a sip of joy.
Daily Bible Verse"The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." (James 5:16)
t'gilah—prayer; pleading; to earnestly appeal to another for or against an action. Source

Deuteronomy 6:7 and Proverbs 29:15), I have to figure out how to be with seven different children at once. How can I teach the various ages effectively? Read More

Difficult High School SubjectsBy Anne Elliott, January 27, 2012, AnneElliott.com
If you’ve been following along with our current year’s homeschooling plans, you know that we’re homeschooling five children, plus we have two little ones. This gives us a 10th grader, 7th
grader, 6th grader, 4th grader, and 1st grader. Several of you have written to me, wondering how we get everything done in a day. Well, it’s been a fairly good year! We’re relatively on target. Except for high school. That’s a tough
one! Some of our son’s subjects have been fine, but three subjects have been real bears. Algebra 2, Chemistry, and Spanish. Ugh. They’ve been enough to make me want to throw in the towel completely! Read More

"Anne, I have heard you talk about keeping your kids with you at all times when they are young. Can you please share a full day as to what this looks like? I feel I have a different understanding than what you are talking about and want to understand so I can use with my little ones." Read More |
Thank you for taking time to sip coffee with me. I hope your day is tov—good and accomplishing what the Creator designed you for.
