Blessings on you from the Elliott family! Thank you for subscribing, and we hope you enjoy today’s newsletter. I am recovering from the very busy conference season we've just come through. We also had a tornado hit our town a week ago, but the Father sheltered our family and completely provided for our safety and care. On this Monday morning, my thoughts are turned to contentment. As you work for His kingdom this week, you can rest in His promises to provide for you. My goal is to bring a little bit of Scripture, a sprinkle
of encouragement, and a dash of hope to your day. I love a good cup of coffee (brewed like this), but if some other drink is
more your style, I'm sure that will work. The point is for you to take a break from crazy living, just long enough for a sip of joy.
Daily Bible Verse"The righteous cry, and YHVH hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles." (Psalm 34:17)
tsa'aq—a loud calling or crying out for help; to cry or call out loudly; to shout; to shed tears, often
noisily. Source
Towns everywhere are struggling with economic recession. Major companies are laying off workers. The housing market is struggling. Jobs are scarce, and the low-paying jobs that are available are being sought by workers needing a second or third job. Debt is high. The number of families living under the poverty level is

those times, I’ve known that I should trust God – but it’s really hard! Read More
The Biblical Feasts: A Study of the Times of Worship of Our Creator is a simple Scripture study that you can do alone, with your family, or with a study group. The feasts of the Lord from Leviticus 23 are each studied, as well as a look at the calendar
used in Scripture and prophecy. After each Scripture study, we’ll provide you with more resources to help you get started in celebrating the feasts. Learn More |
I want to pause for a moment on the concept introduced in 1 Tim 6, that godliness with contentment is great gain. The supremely unflattering picture painted of the contentious woman in Proverbs is a primary encouragement for wives to be on guard
against contentiousness. But what causes contentions? Isn’t it fascinating that contentious and contentment share content, the same root word? Read More
