New Olives, Honey and Olive Oil

Hey Everyone!

You are in for a real treat today!

As you know, we carry the tastiest and healthiest olives available on the planet. We’ve had these olives on our website for years. You may also remember back in the day, where we used to carry their Black Botija olives in brine in a jar, their Sun-Dried Olives in a jar, and a couple of their Olive Pastes.

It’s been about 4 years now since I rose back from the dead. I used to order directly from this Peruvian Olive company many years ago. However, as I was rebuilding and getting back on my feet, I was just piggy backing on another companies orders who I’ve done business with for years. Before today's order, I was only getting the Dehydrated Organic Pitted Olives in a bag, because that’s all this company would get on their orders.

Four years later, I just ordered directly again, and imported my first order in like forever. We imported a couple of pallets of all the products that we used to carry, and more. They even have some crazy new products that I am super excited to share with you further below. We literally imported 7 different kinds of olives, 2 olive pastes, Olive Oil, and their Olive Blossom Honey, which only comes around every once in a rare while.

Firstly, everything is 100% pure raw, and certified organic, except for one brand new exciting product that is being added to their 2024-25 organic certification. Since it’s brand spanking new, it missed the organic certification process for 2023-24. However, it is truly considered Organic.

Secondly, in the past I would put my own ‘The Raw Food World’ labels on all of their products. However, this time, I decided to just roll with the actual companies labels on the products.

Every Raw Foods business, whether online, and even store fronts, always have these dehydrated pitted olives in a bag available. All of these olives from Olivico are the cream of the crop. The Dehydrated Pitted Olives in a bag are never heated over 104 degrees. All of the other olives are never heated above 110 degrees. Most companies only carry the bags, because they don't want to deal with the glass jars. We've got them all!

This small family farm off the coast of Peru who specializes in olives is called Olivico. Therefore, don’t be confused when you see their "Olivico" labels on our usual olives and not our labels.

As you guys know, I lived not too far from this farm in Vilcabamba, Ecuador. The water, air, and everything is so pure and clean, with animals just roaming in the breathtaking lush mountains.

These guy are so crazy like me, that these olives are fermented first in a sea salt pond for 3+ months, then they are rinsed and dried at low temperatures (below 110F). What's crazy, is the irrigation water comes from their own underground spring, which is completely clean and uncontaminated.

The water filters naturally as it drains through the permeable layers of the soil, until it finds its way over into their wells directly in the Andes Mountains. This is literally untouched running spring water from the Andes mountains. This type of running spring water is one of the reasons why there is such great longevity in Vilcabamba, and this farm has a similar spring water scenario right in the Andes Mountains filtering right through their farm. This spring water is living, and it is such a blessing to have these products here in the United States.

This extremely conscious small family farm doesn’t use any pesticides, insecticides, herbicides or any other type of agrochemical. All olive pest and disease controls are carried out ecologically through the release of beneficial insects, light traps, pest capture mechanisms, and the use of repellent bio-oils. These bio-oils are made right there on the farm using their olive extract, olive leaf and olive oil. All the nutrients that they use for the annual fertilizer for the trees are also made on the farm. The fertilizer comes from crushed pruning branches, mixed with guano from their different animals, and composted for a year before being applied to the bases of the trees.

I told you these guys were crazy!

Let's now move on to the products! Wait until we get to the brand spanking new natural fermented mix olives, lol.

First, we have all three of our usual Botija Dehydrated Pitted Olives in the bag (Aji, Herbed, Sea Salt). After a slow dehydration process at 104 degrees, their olives take its flavor to a new level, perfectly salty and oily. These are going to be so fresh, it's crazy.

Now this next olive product in brine was my absolute favorite when we used to carry it. They do have pits, but I would cut up the olives individually into little pieces and put them into my salads. It took my salad to an entire new taste level in such a beautiful way. These are the Black Botija Olives in Brine. However, the true color of the olive is a beautiful purple. These are not like the Dehydrated pitted olives in a bag. These are proper plumped up olives in brine that are very soft.

Alongside that, we now carry their Green jumbo Olives in Brine, and Green Spiced Andaluza Olives in Brine, which are also proper plumped up olives. We’ve never carried either of these before in the past, but I can imagine that if I made a salad now cutting up all three different kinds of these olives, the flavors would be a roller coaster of a ride out of control. Furthermore, the color combination would be absolutely beautiful.

Now let’s move on to the brand new Sea Salt Natural Fermented Mix Olives!

You know how the dehydrated pitted olives that we have contain such a wonderful strong and intense flavor? Well, this new olive product has the potential to bring our taste buds to an entire level that we haven't seen before.

They just arrived in our warehouse. Actually, everything here just arrived. Therefore, everything is as fresh as can be straight from the farm. Since they just arrived, I haven’t got to try this new product yet. However, from the explanation that Carol from Olivico gave me of what these new fermented mix olives are, I just know that the taste and the energetic punch that they will most likely provide is going to be insane. Carol told me that it has a very strong flavor due to how it's fermented. Let me explain.

Check it out.

These fermented mix olives come in a glass jar just like the other olives in brine. However, these have been fermented just with only sea salt, and not within the brine like the others. Therefore, the water contained in the jar is the actual water the olives lose naturally when they are in contact with the sea salt. That’s pure mineral superfood nutrition directly from their spring water in the Andes Mountains! I just have a feeling that they are going to make me feel alive after eating one. Like boom, pow, kaboom. The water only goes up half way in the fermented mix olive jar, while the other olives are completely covered up to the top in the brine. They look a little more shriveled than the other olives in brine.

So now, not only do we get a strong intense flavor with our Dehydrated Pitted Olives in a bag, but now we get another intense flavor with eating a more proper plumped up olive. I'm so excited!

Let’s not stop there!

We also have their Certified Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and Olive Blossom Honey.

Their Extra Virgin Olive Oil blend is made with a crafted combination of their different olive varieties, each selected for its unique flavor and nutritional profile. Everything is carefully harvested, cold-pressed, and it’s less than .5% acidity. People have been asking me to get an olive oil of the highest quality. Well, here it is!

Now we got extremely lucky with their Olive Blossom Honey. It is a rare and special type of honey that is not always available. I actually took everything that they had available, and it’s not much. It is obtained during a short period when the olive trees are in bloom. Olive blossom honey is a deliciously unique and aromatic type of honey that comes from the nectar of olive blossoms. This honey is light in color and has an intense, slightly sweet flavor with hints of fruit and floral notes. It’s also got a lot of health benefits, which has been utilized by the locals for generations. Be sure to savor its delicious flavor while it’s available now, and enjoy its multiple health benefits.

Lastly, we have Olivico's Black Olive Paste, and Green Olive Paste. The Black/Purple Olive Paste is made from the Black Botija Olives in Brine. Both Olive Pastes are carefully processed to preserve their rich, complex flavor. They then add a delicious blend of herbs including oregano, rosemary, and thyme, to create a rich, savory paste that is bursting with flavor. These Olive Pastes are incredibly versatile and can be used in a variety of dishes. Spread it on crackers or bread for a delicious appetizer, or use it as a flavorful base for pizza or pasta sauce.

What a gift all of this is, and it arrived at the perfect time. Not only am I putting every single one of these Olivico products on special, but we also have our 14.5% Rawfood15 discount that you can use at the same time. To give you an example of the savings here, the Dehydrated Pitted Olives in a bag, we normally offer on special at $11.95. We are doing the same thing today and with the Rawfood15 discount, they come to only $10.22 per bag if you get a 3-pack.

In fact, every single one of our new olives in a glass jar, which are 10.58oz each, is the same $10.22 price when you get a 3-pack and use the Rawfood15 discount. Oh me, oh my. Importing has its benefits.
