Hi ,
We've all heard, "dress for the job you want."
We've also heard, "dress for the life you want."
But hear me out... you also need to dress for the man you want.
And this has got nothing to do with dressing for the male gaze or being a pickme ok?
You’re not bleaching your hair
blonde because some dude told you he only likes blonde girls. No.
I’m talking about envisioning your dream life and your dream self and your dream relationship.
How does she carry herself?
How does she behave?
How does she look?
How does she dress?
And then ask yourself - do you think that aligns with how your future man pictures HIS dream girl?
Because we sometimes forget
that as much as he needs to be everything we want, we also have to be what he is looking for too.
He's thinking - does how she look portray an accurate presentation of me? Does her appearance and her personality speak the same language as me?
And I'm only saying this here because I believe you girls are mature enough to think more broadly --
You’re not likely going to find a respectable man with more conservative values being so open
minded about his lady being scantily clad.
Or likewise, the tatted up biker guy could very much be provider minded and the sweetest man alive but he’s probably not attracted to the very conservative Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales type.
Of course there are exceptions...but exceptions are not the rules.
I know this can be a little controversial because we’re getting into the realm of talking about our bodies and how we
want to express ourselves, and our body our choice and feeling empowered…
So ultimately, you really have to think about whether or not your future man's values, ideals, and outlook on life align with yours.
And it's not a war I want to fight because I personally don't think being scantily clad and wearing a piece of cloth that barely covers my lady parts is whatsoever "empowering" -- I think this narrative actually hurts women because it pushes us to
devalue our own bodies.
But I digress.
I just wanted to share that if you're curious about leveling up your style and wardrobe, and how to figure out whether you're proportionally cute, sexy, elegant or natural... and how to dress for each style while remaining poised and classy
I have a whole module talking about this in The Elite Dream Girl 💖
