HGTV's new Barn Show Update

Published: Tue, 03/07/17

Hi

As you can imagine the response to the first email was strong.  I am still getting emails several days later.  I have forwarded all the relevant emails to the casting director...

Going forward though I am not going to be able to keep up with it, my 5th child is due to be born this week.  So, I will be spending much of my time helping my wife, and spending time with my family.

So, it would be best to contact the casting director, directly.  Here is the email address.

Casting / Talent Development / Management

Even if you already sent an email to me, send one to her.

She is asking everyone who applies to send a video of themselves, it doesn't have to be fancy or long... Cell phone video is fine.

Please keep me in the loop as well, I would love to see your videos.  So please CC me in your email to the casting director.  My email is [email protected].

****TIP: If you are serious about this, then send a video.  If you don't intend to send a video, and just send your contact info, then don't bother sending anything at all.  It's the same with any kind of job or opportunity in life, if you want to stand out then sometimes all it takes is following directions and just over delivering on what they ask for.  This will make you stand out starkly in a crowd.****

In case you missed it I have added the email I sent a few days ago that first announced this opportunity.

Have a great day!!

Hello,

HGTV is looking for Barn Renovation Projects and a Person with a Great Personality to show them off.

I got an email from their casting person and this is what they said.

Hi there!  I’m helping cast for a show that HGTV is wanting to pick up.  We’re looking for awesome spaces that went from an old barn to a beautiful living space/work space/bar/mancave, etc.   They want to show the barn in it’s original state and then show it transformed.  They want whoever the renovator is to have a great personality (ideally 30-40 year old) to lead the audience through the process of the transformation.

I love your website and see that you have lots of experience in this area. Would you be interested in talking to me further about this opportunity or know of anyone you’ve worked with that might be interested in showcasing their work on a tv show? It’s a great opportunity for a renovator.

Thank you!

****DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL FOR THIS, YOU MUST SEND A NEW EMAIL!!

Include your background information, video, and pictures of you and your projects.

If you don't have any Barn projects to talk about on a TV show, then why not start one?  Every successful project, needs to start with a great plan.

What are you waiting for?
Get started on your dream barn today!
Thank You
