What Kind of Wood is The Best to Work WIth?

Published: Wed, 04/26/17

Hi

White Pine is the best wood for timber framing, some would say that Douglas Fir is, but I would disagree with that for one reason.

White pine costs less.

So it is more accessible to more people.  Yes structurally Doug Fir is slightly better, but White Pine is almost as good and costs way less.

In this video I will be discussing different types of woods that I consider to be good to work with, when building a timber frame barn, or a chicken coop, or a shed, or any other kind of homesteading project.
