together). It contains all of your vital documents, insurance documents, and financial documents in one place that is easy to grab and go in an emergency. Here are some of the main reasons it's a good idea to make an Emergency Binder part of your preparedness plans: - In case of evacuation, you can grab it and run
- If placed in a waterproof/fireproof safe it will protect your documents from disaster if you aren't home when your house experiences flood or
fire
- Easy to find your vital documents (i.e. birth certificates to sign kids up for school)
- Unexpected death of one or both spouses (everything you'd need to manage your affairs will be included in the binder, making it easier for those left behind)
