Food Storage Made Easy meets Green Smoothie Girl

Published: Sat, 09/05/15

Hi from Jodi and Julie,

We have been busy this week coordinating with Robyn Openshaw of GreenSmoothieGirl.com on two big projects.  We are excited to share them with you today!  First is a charity campaign that enable you to help raise money for a good cause AND get a free green smoothie eBook.  Second is a fun Food Storage Makeover we did to help Robyn get her preps in order and revamp her food storage!

BLENDAID CAMPAIGN

We are joining forces with many other major bloggers and companies to spread the word about a campaign to help raise $150,000 to build a school in Zambia and help educate and feed AIDS orphans.

Here’s how you can help, just by following along on this 30 day adventure!  Robyn and two of her friends are going to eat nothing but green smoothies for 30 days and track what happens to their weight, energy levels, body shape, cardiovascular biomarkers, etc. We recently posted on our blog about using food storage to make easy green smoothie mixes.  If you didn't catch that post you can view it here.

Robyn will be sharing VIDEO BLOGS start on Sept. 15, showing what happens on their journey as well as featuring a superfood each day to give more education about healthy foods.  You can sign up to follow along HERE, and starting Sept. 15, EVERY DAY, prizes will be given away worth $200 to $5,000 from one of the campaign sponsors (one of the days Food Storage Made Easy is donating $500 worth of Thrive freeze-dried fruits and vegetables).

When you sign up to follow, not only does everyone commenting on the blog or sharing the post that day have a chance to win that day’s prize, but also……
  • We donate $1 for YOU, to the humanitarian effort, up to $10,000.
  • You’re immediately sent an eBook with the 30 Superfood Green Smoothies our friends will subsist on, and every day’s video blog will share a SUPERFOOD tip to put your green smoothie habit through the roof!
  • You’ll hear from us when we kick off Sept. 15, to remind you to COMMENT on each day’s blog to be in the drawing for huge prizes!
We love doing good in the world, and hope you’ll join us by following the effort HERE. We’ll remind you to comment daily, to win big prizes, at kickoff. Thanks for helping us raise these funds!

FOOD STORAGE MAKEOVER

You may remember the Extreme Food Storage Makeover we did with Jodi's mom several years ago.  She had very little food storage and we walked her through our babysteps and got her all set up and taught her some tips for usage and rotation.  Robyn had a different problem.  She had quite a large food storage but it was full of foods she doesn't eat any more since she has changed her diet dramatically since she first began storing food.

We sat down and discussed her needs, inventoried her food and emergency supplies, and came up with a plan of attack.  We helped Robyn buy everything and re-arrange her storage areas in a way that makes sense for her.  It was so fun and she was thrilled with the results.  We will be sharing details about the project as well as holding a full webinar to help others be able to go through this process themselves later this month so make sure to watch your email for that next week!

Here is a sneak peek at a few pictures of the Makeover! (more "after" pics coming soon)
Have a great weekend and don't forget to also sign up for our 7 Day Challenge which will be starting on a surprise day in September!
