Hi from Jodi and Julie!

With Mother's Day coming up this weekend we thought it would be fun to share a few of our preparedness gift ideas with you today.  All of these ideas are fairly inexpense, DIY-type of gifts that really show you care about someone.  We always thinking giving the gift of preparedness is one of the best things you can give to someone on their special day.  There are some ideas here for everyone so take your pick and enjoy!  They only take a few hours to put together, even if you have to shop for them so it's not too late to make it happen by Sunday :)

Mommy Emergency Car Kit

If you have a new mommy or mommy-to-be in your life you can make a cute little Mommy Emergency Car Kit for her.  It has all the necessities for if you forget your diaper bag.  We include cute labels and contents lists but feel free to customize it to fit your personal preferences!

#10 Can Stove

Any woman interested in preparedness will love this hand #10 Can Stove Gift Idea.  It's a great way to recycle empty #10 cans and is inexpensive but really useful.  For someone who doesn't have a big budget for powerless cooking tools this is a great start!  If you don't have InstaFire packets you can just add more charcoal or look at a camping supply store for items like fuel gel packs, fuel disk fire starters, or sterno fuel canisters to include.

Office 72 Hour Kit

Do you have a special working mama in your life? Give her the gift of preparedness for Mother's Day with this Office 72 Hour Kit gift idea.  We initially created this for Valentine's Day but it would be a thoughtful gift at any time of year.  You just would need to create a new tag for it!

Thrive Consultant Kit

If you or your spouse has considered becoming a Thrive Life Consultant this could be a perfect Mother's Day Gift. There is FREE shipping for the month of May so you could surprise your honey (or yourself) with a consultant kit and get up and running with Thrive for the summer.  We love love love our Thrive in the summer when we get too busy having fun and forget to think about dinner until the last minute.  No chopping, thawing, prepping ... easy healthy dinners in about 15 minutes!  Being a consultant is the best way to get the most bang from your buck when you are purchasing, even if you don't want to do parties or sell to friends.

Hopefully that gives you a few ideas of some gifts you can make or buy for the special mothers in your life this year. We have used all of these at one point or another and they are always very well received.  Have a great week!
