Hi from Jodi and Julie!

We have had a couple of recent Facebook conversations about how people fared during Hurricane Harvey.  It was helpful to hear what they were glad they had and what they thought would have been more helpful.  With Hurricane Irma looming we wanted to share a resource we made a few years ago to help with Last Minute Ways to Prepare for an Emergency.  We also have a couple more resources for you to take advantage of in September whether or not you are in the immediate possible path of destruction.

50 Last Minute Ways to Prepare for an Emergency:

This list is not comprehensive, and some of the ideas will not be applicable depending on whether or not you are expecting to evacuate.  But it's definitely full of things that could be helpful to run around and do if you are in Irma's path.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.  Click here or the image below to print the list!  Please feel free share this with anyone you know who may be in harm's way.

Upcoming 7 Day Challenge:

This year we are following the same format as last year for our annual 7 Day Challenge.  It's a time we learn, practice, and prepare for all kinds of emergency situations.  We love doing it as a group and are planning to run the discussions through our Food Storage Made Easy Facebook Group so make sure to join there and we'll be updating the group with details as it gets closer!  We will also send the challenges through email so don't worry you don't have to be on Facebook to participate.  To see the format of the challenge using our Preparedness Cycle concept check out last year's introduction post here.

Back to Basics Living Summit:

For a HUGE boost to your self reliance and preparedness education we highly encourage you to participate in the FREE Back to Basics Living Summit.  It's going to be 7 full days of over 30 presentations that you can watch for free from your own home.  No need to pay travel costs to go to an expensive preparedness conference.  Check out the great line-up of speakers below and get your ticket now by registering HERE to reserve your FREE seat! We've been invited to share an updated version of our How to Plan a Year Supply of Food seminar and can't wait to share it with all of you.
