I DON'T LIKE MICRODERMABRASION
Â
However, I do like the results!
Â
Let me explain:
Â
I've long been an Esthetician that does not use traditional microdermabrasion. I think it's too harsh, the suction can damage skin, the abrasion can damage skin.
Â
I've seen it happen...to my own skin!
Â
I had a session (this was back in 90s when microdermabrasion was all the rage).
Â
It left me with a literal abrasion - scratch - on my face. Not good. Not happy.
Â
Since then, while I love it for the body, I generally skip it in favor of other ways of exfoliating the face/neck/chest. (Soft peeling and good chemical exfoliants or enzymes can work very well, especially if you don't have lot of damage.)
Â
However, I do think in certain cases a good dermal abrasion is warranted - heavy lines, very thick skin, deeply pocked-marked and scarred skin can all get great results with a light abrasion.
Â
For those of you who love this type of treatment (I will admit, it does leave you with baby-soft skin), the better option is for a DERMADISC, without suction, and with a light disc. (Heaver disc can be used for body and for feet.)
Â
This works oh-so-well and leave glowing, soft, brighter skin. Removed sun damage and lines, scarred and marred skin from some acne.

Â
I love that it has a changeable disc - good for face, body and that thick, callused skin on our feet!
Â
It is also suction-free so it won't damage and pull the skin.
