ITALIAN JAZZ FESTIVAL AT BAR CILENTO – CHRIS DEVITO & FRIENDS

Stirling, NJ, August 19 & 20 – Bar Cilento will be hosting a two day “Italian Jazz Festival” featuring Chris DeVito and Friends on Saturday, August 19 at 6:00 pm and Sunday, August 20 at 5:00 pm outside on its newly renovated patio (weather permitting).  There is no cover charge or required minimum purchase for either event.

The Saturday, August 19 event will feature Angela Hendryx (vocals), Greg Grispart (woodwinds), Joseph Peterson (acoustic bass), Gavin Davies (drums) and Chris DeVito (piano). 

The Sunday, August 20 event will feature Chris Pinnella (vocals), Greg Grispart (woodwinds), Joseph Peterson (acoustic bass), Jim Jacobus (drums) and Chris DeVito (piano). 

Chris DeVito is a jazz pianist, composer, and band leader who performs throughout the New York, New Jersey area.  Earlier this year, Chris led a quintet that filled both the Watchung Arts Center and Douglas Hall (at the Malawi Visions Fundraiser hosted by Liberty Corner Church.). To learn more about Chris DeVito, visit www.chrisdevitojazz.com.

Joseph Peterson is a jazz bassist, bandleader, composer, educator and producer and host of a popular jazz radio show on WBGO (“Jazz from the Archives”). 

Gavin Davies is a jazz drummer and educator who has been an active drummer on the New Jersey music scene for the past 30 years. 

Jim Jacobus is a jazz drummer who has been active in the New Jersey music scene for over 40 years. He is a protégé of the late drum legend Joe Morello.
