Malawi Orphans
According to Daniel Moyo, Malawi-based Program Director of Liberty Corner’s partner Ministry of Hope, Malawi Visions has built six libraries/media centers in rural regions benefiting 6,000 local orphans. In their first year of operation, school attendance and performance has dramatically
soared. Facing this success, and increasing need, Malawi Visions already seeks funding to double their facility capacities.
Malawi is one of the world’s poorest countries. Less than 7% of its entire population has electricity. In a country of 15 million, the number of orphan children exceeds 1.5 million.
