Historically there has been no caution about using the Brain Tuner (Cranial Electro Stimulation (CES)) with tinnitus. It puzzled us when we heard more recent, yet rare, reports that the Brain Tuner, also known as the Bio Tuner, had aggravated tinnitus.
Medical Science does not know the cause of tinnitus but it has correlated the problem with a number of conditions. When we discovered that the books by Anthony William, actually state the cause of tinnitus, we gained some clarity on the rare and more recent instances of aggravation.
Anthony William pinpoints a virus as the cause of today's chronic diseases or mystery illnesses as he calls them—including tinnitus. He also indicates there has been a "viral explosion" which accounts for the increase in chronic diseases. More specifically, he pinpoints the Epstein Barr virus (EBV), a member of the Herpes virus family as a common cause of tinnitus:
Tinnitus, or ringing in the ear, is usually caused by EBV getting into the inner ear’s nerve channel, called the labyrinth. The ringing is the result of the virus inflaming and vibrating the labyrinth and the vestibulocochlear nerve.

This gives a plausible explanation as to why using the Brain Tuner may increase tinnitus for some people. The beneficial frequencies & microcurrents would begin to strengthen the immune system. When the immune system targets the virus an increase in symptoms can occur. While the Medical Medium provides information about foods and herbs that eradicate the virus, a wealth of feedback on the use
of the Beck Protocol indicates it helps the body deal with a broad range of illnesses, including viral conditions.

Ozone and the Herxheimer Reaction
The Herxheimer syndrome, a medical term for toxins building up in the body, spurred Bob to look for a self-help way to assist the detoxification process. He finally decided on adding Ozone (O3), a richer form of Oxygen (O2) to a glass of drinking water …

This is a common reaction for those new to micropulsing. Gradually, as your skin becomes used to the process, the irritation for many decreases and diminishes over time. With permission, we've borrowed a list of suggestions from SOTA Instruments. It's a comprehensive list and
should assist those who experience sensitivity. Refer to their list for the most up-to-date description:
When using the Micropulsing electrodes the skin may become irritated. Over time, the irritation usually decreases. With longer periods of continuous use, skin irritation is more likely.
Alternate wrists each day. One day use the right wrist and the next day use the left wrist in order to allow the skin to heal. Here are a few additional suggestions:
• Wash wrists before applying the electrodes. Our skin has natural oils that can interact with the electricity which may result in a "stinging" sensation.
• Wet the sleeves using purified water or with Ionic~Colloidal Silver. Ionic~Colloidal Silver has a healing effect.
• If unable to feel the current using only water, try a commercial saline solution for the eyes. This will be gentler on the skin than adding salt to the water.
• A conductive gel can be added to the wet sleeves to reduce irritation.
• Another option is to wrap a small square of paper towel around the electrodes instead of using the cotton sleeves. A customer passed this idea along from her health practitioner. Keep the paper wet. We find it works well and a small square of paper may last for several applications.
• Wash wrists well after each session and apply a healing gel or lotion such as aloe vera, vitamin E oil or MSM cream.
• Drink enough water to keep the body well hydrated. Your degree of hydration may affect your sensitivity.
• Apply the Micropulsing electrodes for shorter periods of time until the irritation disappears.
• Turn down the intensity.

In the early 1990s, there was widespread concern about viral contamination of blood banks for transfusions. Medical researchers provided a solution when they discovered that disease-causing pathogens could be neutralized in blood with a gentle current of electricity.
