Sandra's Writing Tips - Free Promos for Your Book

Published: Wed, 06/07/17

Hi

Today's hot topic: how to sell your books—and I have some FREE resources for you on how to promote your book.

ATTRACT READERS FOR FREE:

First, one subscriber clued me in on this free book, Reader Magnets by Nick Stephenson. Many free books are little more than come-ons for high priced stuff. This 50-pager has solid info and great ideas. Which fit perfectly for all authors, but especially with series writers.

HOW TO BE #1 ON AMAZON:

Another freebie—only available for 4 days—is a replay of a webinar by Tom Corson-Knowles. I have NO connection with him, but I have a replay of the webinar he ran yesterday about "How to Crack the Code to #1 Amazon Best Seller Ranking." It is nearly 2 hours long, but you can skip past the first 6 intro minutes, avoid the last part (promo for his publishing services) and gets lots of info about how Amazon rankings work—and how to work them.

His company offers publishing for authors and if any of you have dealt with him let me know of your experiences. It appears (?) he basically formats and submits your books to Amazon, etc. for 50% of the proceeds. Again, let me know if you know more about his company. But his info on Amazon rankings was interesting and worthwhile.

WORKSHOP SCHEDULE:

I've had questions about my workshop schedule. (I was so excited about the curriculum for my  Transform Your Story Into a Successful Series that I forgot to explain how it will be actually set up!)  So here is the schedule:
  • Lessons out on June 17, 20, 23, 26 and 29
  • Worksheets included on June 17, 23 and 29 and are due back to me 2 days after you receive them
  • I return worksheets with my suggestions directly related to your writing
  • 3 optional bonus worksheets sent June 17, 20 and 26.
  • A Discussions section for students to post their answers to each Discussion question and/or to discuss their writing projects with other students.
  • An optional private FaceBook group page to meet the other writers for more interaction.
  • Email access to me for ANY questions.
I want EACH student to feel excited about the possibilities writing can offer AND I want each to discover a path that suits them.

That's the schedule—now you just need to sign up to be ready for the fun of exploring writing a series!

My Best,

Sandra
