New Anchor Congregation
In their annual board meeting, which was held in Cozumel, Feb. 16-19, the board named the Northside Church of Christ in San Antonio, Texas to be
our newest Anchor Congregation. On Sunday, April 23, they were formally welcomed to that role.
The Northside Church began their involvement with Ciudad de Ángeles in 2015 when they brought their first mission team to Cozumel. Since that time, members at Northside have become child sponsors, board members, donors, and prayer partners.
Northside joins seven other Church of Christ congregations serving as Anchor Congregations for Ciudad: A&M, College Station, TX; Campus, Norcross, GA; East Cobb, Marietta, GA; Eastside, Colorado Springs, CO; Grace Chapel, Cumming, GA; Harpeth Hills, Brentwood, TN; and Woodbury, Woodbury, MN.
Anchor Congregations are those who enter an elevated level of involvement and relationship with Ciudad de Ángeles that assists with leadership and communications in both directions. The congregation has a representative on the board who can help guide the work of Ciudad, and Ciudad has someone who can help find volunteers and promote the mission within the
congregation.
We are excited to welcome the Northside family as an Anchor Congregation.
