“I want to be part of the people that make meaning, not the thing that’s made. I want to do the imagining, I don’t want to be the idea.”
Â
When you are imagining your dream—whether its to write a book, plant a garden, lose weight, get a degree or certification, save for a rainy day, make art, learn to sew, or DIY your house, whatever it is—you are making meaning.
Â
You are participating in the human experience. And part of being human is simply
creating.Â
Â
I won’t lie, though. It can be really, really hard to do…because of the mental shifts that need to take place in order for it to happen. You may even discover a whole new identity along the way.
Â
Here is this week’s Gold Nugget:
Â
You are made to create. You are made to make meaning.
Â
That’s it.
Â
That’s a good one to sit with. If you journal, write out what kind of response that brings up within you and why that might be important. If you’re a meditator, spend some time  with it and let your imagination flow.
Â
If it brings tears to your eyes, as
it does mine, take time to explore the reasons this moves you. Be brave enough to unlock what’s been hidden inside you for far too long.
