How Do You Handle Change, ?
'Mercury Retrograde got me!,' I texted my friend.
I was stuck on a major intersection in LA, Labor Day weekend.
My car needed to be towed, but I was hoping it was just a battery charge. I had somewhere to go, money to make and people that were counting on me.
The Universe had other plans...
For whatever reason, it wasn't meant to be where I had planned. My car battery died from turning it off and on so many times.
I had my dad on the
phone growing frustrated with me because I couldn't tell him what was wrong and he wasn't there to help.
There are some people that
plan and plan and plan. That's great. I think that planning will help you figure out where to go, what your next steps will be and give you somewhat of a timeline. This could be to graduate, to save to buy a car or a house, or it could be to travel.
Others just go with the flow.
Regardless of which way you lead life, my belief is: YOU are meant to
be exactly where you are.
Before my car was towed I asked the driver to check the connections under the hood (because my dad made sure I
did) and guess what?!
Basically it was parts that became loose in the car...
For those of you who
understand mechanics: It turns out one of the belts became loose and snapped, and somehow my alternator (part that helps with keeping the battery charge going and starting the car) was off one of the screws!
I mean, you can't make this up!
I was
on the ROAD going over 60 mph... So many worse case scenarios could have happened! The parts could have created a fire, hit something else, damaged the engine, I could go on... but I WAS SAFE!
What do you do when your plan doesn't go the way you want?
Long term goals change, life changes, your perspectives change, relationships change, people, jobs and feelings come and go.
Then the plan doesn't work out. Or it is taking longer than 'planned'.
2 Days later, I woke up with a
pulled muscle! 🤦🏻♀️
I am telling you this because the Universe is giving me feedback, AND my body is giving me feedback... data.
The tension from the part in the car and in my life are creating havoc.
I tell my clients constantly that everything is related... because they are!
The keyword here is "tension". All this tension in my life brought up these situations.
