Here is the hat pattern. The size given in this pattern is for a teen or small adult size. But the good thing about crocheted hats though is that you can easily adjust the size for a custom fit. For this pattern you could try a thicker yarn and larger hook, or just do more repeats of the increase rows. Special instructions are given for that in a pattern note.

This more of a tutorial than a pattern. The cowl is twisted and uses the same stitch pattern as the hat.
