Hi

This week I have another afghan square. As promised, it matches my other square that I published a few weeks ago. A few more matching squares are in the works so stay tuned for them.

Also, I put together a short photo tutorial on how to make standing crochet stitches. These stitches are a much cleaner way to start a new row or round when joining a new color. Be sure to check it out if you're not already using these stitches. I promise you will love this technique once you start using it.

Standing Crochet Stitches
Standing Crochet Stitches
A photo tutorial on how to make standing crochet stitches. Standing stitches in crochet are an alternative to making your chains at the beginning of each row or round. They are not only much quicker, but much neater as well. And best of all, unlike your chains, the standing crochet stitches blend in beautifully with the other stitches.
