Book Now, Travel Soon and Save

Big savings in big cities (Las Vegas, San Francisco, Chicago and Orlando) are part of the "Bright Lights, Big Savings" sale at TheRealPlaces.com: Book in April and travel by the end of May or book in May and travel by the end of June and save $hundreds on hotel + flight combos.  Slightly less-big, but still nice savings for those just looking for hotels, too.

Disney Dream

Our guide to the new Disney Dream cruise ship is now online. The ship will feature the first water coaster at sea, a restaurant that transforms into an "undersea environment" during your meal, an interactive play floor in the Oceaneer Club for kids, and "virtual portholes" in inside cabins that show live feeds from cameras outside the ship. The Dream will make Bahamas cruises from Port Canaveral, Florida beginning in February 2011.

This Week's New Hotels

The JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa opened recently, the first Marriott resort in Texas and the largest in the world.  It's 600 acres of golf courses (plural), spa, heated pools (plural again), restaurants and 140,000 square feet of meeting space.

The Hotel Indigo Nashville Downtown is the second member of that "upscale boutique" brand to land in the Nashville area.  This one is in the heart of downtown Nashville, a conversion of the "historic" American Trust Building - old school on the outside, boutique-y on the inside.  And it shares the building with the only two-story Starbucks in town - something definitely worth bragging about.
