Portside Hotels

If you're looking for a place to stay before or after your cruise, TheRealPlaces.com has an easy-to-use guide to hotels near all of the cruise terminals in the United States.  Each cruise port page has a map of hotel locations and a search box that will let you quickly compare prices and see availability for all the nearest hotels.

Interest in Transatlantic Cruises

The volcano eruption in Iceland recently shutdown air travel in Europe, and that caused a big spike in interest in Transatlantic cruises. Our Cruise Transatlantic website is the leading provider of information about the classic way to cross the ocean. Air travel is such a hassle that Transatlantic cruises are popular even when the airlines are operating. The repositioning cruises in the spring and fall can be terrific bargains too.

This Week's New Hotels

The Hyatt Place chain now has an even bigger presence in the San Antonio area with the opening of the Hyatt Place San Antonio-North/Stone Oak.  It's the fourth Hyatt Place in the region and is located on the northern edge of town where North Loop 1604 meets Route 281. 42-inch HDTV in every room!

The first Hyatt hotel in Madison, Wisconsin is the new Hyatt Place Madison Downtown. It features 151 guest rooms - each with a 42-inch HDTV, the Hyatt "Grand Bed" and an 8-foot sleeper sofa - within walking distance of the UW campus, the state capitol, Overture Center for the Arts and the Monona Terrace Convention Center.
