A Very Different YMCA
It used to be that staying at the YMCA was the ultimate in budget accommodations, but that has certainly changed with the opening of Le Meridien Philadelphia. Located in the former YMCA designed by architect Horace Trumbauer and built in 1911, Le Meridien brings more 4-star luxury to downtown Philly. It features 202 rooms and suites, a French brasserie ("Amuse") and a 1,300 square foot reception space that overlooks Philadelphia's City Hall.
Carnival Expands Bermuda Cruises
Carnival Cruise Line will offer more cruises to Bermuda in 2011. The line has offered just one annual Bermuda cruise in recent years. The Carnival Fantasy will make 6-day Bermuda cruises from Charleston (SC) to Kings Wharf on Bermuda. There will be six departures from April to October of 2011. This Week's New (or Improved) Hotels
Located in the Chicago suburb of Lincolnshire, the Marriott Lincolnshire Resort recently unveiled $multi-million renovation that included an upgrade to the lobby area, the addition of 40,000 square feet of meeting space and a new "day/night" bar.
