Updated Miami Cruise Schedules
MiamiCruiseGuide.com has the details on some recent changes and additions to the schedule of cruises from Miami. We now have the schedule for the brand new Carnival Breeze - launching in 2012 and taking 6 and 8 day voyages to the Caribbean from Miami from November 2012 to April 2013. The globe-trekking Norwegian Sun will also spend the 2012-13 winter sailing from Miami on 10 and 11-night cruises to the Caribbean. Celebrity Millennium returns to town for 4 and 5-night cruises this winter, followed by a major renovation and a celebratory trip through the Panama Canal to San Diego next May. Celebrity Constellation takes over the 4-5 day schedule for the 2012-2013 winter season.
2012 Cruises from Norfolk
Carnival has announced their 2012 schedule of cruises from Norfolk, Virginia. Seven cruises will depart in May and October, an increase of two from 2011. The big Carnival Glory ship offers cruises to the Bahamas and to "nowhere." Norfolk has one of the nation's best cruise terminals and is a great place to start a vacation.
This Week's New (or Improved) Hotels
The Holiday Inn Express San Diego Airport - Old Town is now open for business. After a $2 million conversion, it's got all the latest HIExpress goodies, including seven suites with Jacuzzis and sitting areas.
It doesn't seem possible, but the classic 5-star Beverly Hills Hotel has actually kicked things up another notch. Two "Presidential Bungalows" make their debut this month, the first additions to the hotel in over 50 years. With almost 5,000 square feet of luxury, the nightly rates of $13,610 to $15,380 don't seem that outrageous. Just kidding.
