Cruises from Tampa

The full 2012 schedule of cruises from Tampa, Florida is now online. The popular Gulf coast departure port offers cruises on Carnival, Holland America, Norwegian and Royal Caribbean. Most of the voyages are to Cozumel and the western Caribbean, but other destinations include a cruise to New York and a Transatlantic cruise to the Netherlands.

This Week's New (or Improved) Hotels

The number of "trendy" Aloft hotels in New York City has doubled with the opening of Aloft New York Brooklyn. It's in downtown Brooklyn, just off Flatbush Avenue and a healthy hike from the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan. 176 loft-like guest rooms, two-story atrium lobby and the "w xyz bar".

 

It doesn't seem possible, but the classic 5-star Beverly Hills Hotel has actually kicked things up another notch.  Two "Presidential Bungalows" make their debut this month, the first additions to the hotel in over 50 years.  With almost 5,000 square feet of luxury, the nightly rates of $13,610 to $15,380 don't seem that outrageous.  Just kidding.
