More Short Cruises from Jacksonville

Carnival Cruise Line has cancelled 7-day cruises out of Jacksonville, Florida, in favor of adding more short cruises to its schedule. 4- and 5-day cruises from the port to the Bahamas are in demand. 4-day cruises sail to Freeport and Nassau in the Bahamas. 5-day cruises go to Half Moon Cay and Nassau, or to Key West and Nassau. Learn more about these affordable cruises at the Jacksonville Cruise Guide.

This Week's New (or Improved) Hotels

The Sheraton Stamford is now open for travelers to that Connecticut exurb of New York City.  Formerly a Holiday Inn, big bucks were spent upgrading it to the latest-and-greatest Sheraton standards.  Convenient for all the corporate headquarters in Stamford.

The Westin Gaslamp Quarter San Diego is looking very different after a complete reno of their guest rooms.  It's all so much trendier looking - with all the benefits that come with the hotel's downtown San Diego location.  Part of a $25 million overhaul that will be completed by sometime in 2012.
