Stage-and-Screen Cruise from LA to New York

Crystal Cruise's April 21, 2012 cruise from Los Angeles to New York will have a stage-and-screen theme. Actors Tippi Hedren and Kate Burton will be onboard to perform and appear in nearly two dozen events. Hedren, who appeared in Alfred Hitchcock films "The Birds" and "Marnie" will host a Tippi-themed cocktail party. This Week's New (or Improved) Hotels

The Ritz-Carlton Georgetown (in Washington, DC) is switching things up a bit with their on-site restaurants.  By November 1st, the Degrees Bar & Lounge will become the full-service Degrees Bistro.  The Fahrenheit restaurant is being transformed into the Fahrenheit Ballroom, a banquet rental space available for medium-sized soirees of up to 120 guests.

The 187 guest rooms and suites of the Doubletree by Hilton Charlotte have been given a thorough renovation, with a modernized design, improved lighting and furniture and new Citron "body and bath amenities".  The Doubletree is located on the northwest side of downtown Charlotte, next door to Johnson and Wales University.
