Cruise Ship Makeovers

Celebrity Cruises' Constellation is the first to receive a major overhaul to make it more like the new Solstice Class ships. Features added include a Tuscan Grille steakhouse, Bistro on Five creperie, ice-topped Martini Bar, Gelateria, coffee house, wine bar, and new decor in suites and staterooms. Norwegian Cruise Line refurbished the Norwegian Sun, which offers Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral. Improvements include a new Brazilian churrascaria eatery and enchancements to public areas and suites.

This Week's New (or Improved) Hotels

The largest Marriott in the world, the Orlando World Center Marriott Resort and Convention Center, has completed its second round of renovations.  604 of the resort's 2,000+ guest rooms now have upgrades ranging from new doors to new lights to new carpeting.  The rest of the rooms will get similar treatment over the next few months.

 

The Crowne Plaza Airport Convention Center is now welcoming guests to Charleston, South Carolina.  Formerly a Quality Inn, the Crowne Plaza is the result of a $13 million renovation that included redesign of the 166 guestrooms.  They offer over 5,000 square feet of meeting space, right next door to the Tanger Outlet shopping and just 1.5 miles from Charleston International Airport.
