Weekly Travel Deals
Thank you for being one of over 6,200 subscribers to our weekly travel newsletter, .  This week we found some interesting information about "concert cruises", deals on trans-Atlantic and trans-Panama repositioning cruises and a bunch of "Choice" new hotels.

Weekly Cruise Deals from Cruise Guide Network

This week we feature deals on four repositioning cruises. Every spring, ships move from their cold-weather cruising grounds (the Caribbean) to warm-weather destinations. These one-way repositioning cruises are often great bargains. We found two Transatlantic cruises and two Panama Canal cruises, priced from just $36 per night per person:

More Hotel Choices

Despite the recent economic struggles in the hotel business, Choice Hotels International has been busy growing, adding 15 new properties in January.  They range from the Quality Inn Blythe in Blythe, California (in the desert near the Colorado River and Arizona border) to new hotels in France, Canada, India and Mexico.  Choice Hotels includes the Quality Inn, Comfort Suites, Cambria Suites, MainStay Suites, Econo Lodge, Rodeway Inn chains - all available at guaranteed low prices at TheRealPlaces.com.

Concert Cruises

Music cruises are one of the hot themes in the industry. Carnival Cruises even has a section of their website dedicated to concert cruises. One example is the "VH1 Best Cruise Ever" which departs April 28th from Tampa. Enjoy concerts by Train, Lifehouse, Colbie Caillat, The Script and a dozen other bands. Or if you want a quieter cruise, explore all the other cruises departing from Tampa.

This Week's New (or Improved) Hotels

The Hotel Indigo Baton Rouge Downtown is the first Indigo boutique hotel to open in Louisiana. It marks the return of hotel rooms to a building that was the "Hotel King" in the 1920's before spending some time as a dorm and an office building.  It's in the heart of downtown Baton Rouge and a block off the Mississippi River.

When it opened in 2009, the Ritz-Carlton Charlotte made an appropriately big deal of its "LEED Gold" certification.  Last week they took their eco-friendliness to a new level with the addition of a Level II charging station for owners of electric vehicles.  So the next time you take your electric car to Charlotte you can use the money you save on gas to indulge yourself in some Ritz-Carlton luxury.
