Carnival Breeze

Last week we told you about the delivery of Carnival Magic, cruise ship number 100 for Carnival Corp.  This week they announced the schedule for their next "Dream Class" ship, Carnival Breeze.  Breeze is currently being built in Italy and will have its inaugural cruise from Venice on June 15, 2012.  It'll spend a couple of months doing 12-day Mediterranean cruises before heading to Miami in November 2012.  Breeze will sail from Miami year-round, with 6- and 8-day Caribbean voyages!

This Week's New (or Improved) Hotels

Wyndham Hotels and Resorts celebrated their first property in Hawaii last week with the grand opening of the Koloa Landing Poipu Beach Wyndham Grand Resort. The 85 two-, three- and four-bedroom villas include the largest guest accommodations on the island of Kauai. Koloa Landing Poipu Beach is about 30 minutes from Lihue Airport.

 

Located on State Street on the north side of downtown Chicago, the Embassy Suites Chicago-Downtown is the beneficiary of a $12.3 million renovation. All 367 of their suites were overhauled with new carpeting, workstations, two HDTVs (32" and 40") and upgraded bathrooms.
