When visiting the Washington, DC area it's always best if you can arrange your stay so that you can get around using the Metro rail/subway system.  That becomes even easier later this month when the first part of the new Silver Line opens in Northern Virginia.  For the first time the system will have direct connections to the Tysons Corner area.  TheRealPlaces now has guides to finding hotels near the new McLean, Tysons Corner, Greensboro, Spring Hill and Wiehle-Reston East Metro stations.  It's also the first step in connecting the rail system to Dulles International Airport - coming in 2018.
