Off-Season Mediterranean Cruises
Summer is the peak season for Mediterranean cruises, but there are good reasons to consider a cruise in the winter or spring. In the off-season, prices are lower, temperatures are cooler, and crowds are smaller.

Winter Mediterranean cruises go mainly to the Western Mediterranean (Spain, France, Italy) and to the Canary Islands. Norwegian Cruise Line has a ship there all winter.

Spring Mediterranean cruises offer much more variety. Many more ships arrive in April and they go to the Greek Isles, the Rivieras, the Adriatic and all around the region.
Christmas in Chicago and Boston
ChristmasTraveler.com has updated guides to holiday season events in both Boston and Chicago.

Visitors to Boston won't want to miss the Faneuil Hall Christmas tree, the "Blink!" light and sound show at Quincy Market and the tree on Boston Common. Chicago highlights include the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival and the Christkindlmarket in Daley Plaza.
