What is cheaper -- a cruise or a beach vacation? Our exclusive report has the surprising answer.
We compare a Bahamas cruise from Baltimore on Carnival Cruise Line to a vacation in Ocean City, Maryland, for the same dates. The cruise includes a balcony stateroom and visits Nassau (Bahamas), Freeport (Bahamas), and Port Canaveral/Orlando (Florida). Result: the cruise is hundreds of dollars cheaper than staying at a mid-price hotel at the beach.
We also compare a cruise from Baltimore to Bermuda on Royal Caribbean. Bermuda cruises are more expensive than Bahamas cruises, but when we factor in the cost of meals, the cruise is still a little cheaper than a vacation in Ocean City! And the cruise includes at no extra cost: meals at your choice of restaurants, live musical shows, an aerial acrobatics show, outdoor movies by the pool, youth programs, and a rock-climbing wall.
